Users review: Greetings again from the darkness. Great literature rarely makes for great cinema. The media is completely different. However, great literature, and in the right hands, it can make for a very entertaining movie. Such is the case with Guy Ritchie interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doiles largest character.Mr. Ritchie gives us plenty output Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce Holmes and Watson. Here we have the dazzling special effects despite the superhuman feats and stunts. Another twist is that this Holmes here is meticulous bore, accurate in real life. In fact, he lives more like a frat boy or a rock star - a room full blown attacks isolation.Vhat lacks world class attention to detail Holmes. The story here is actually, if not a little proud and high concept multi-layered and interesting. Still-under-construction Tower Bridge plays a role in the film and gloom and gray of London is captured perfectli.Of course, wanted to reveal details of the story, except to say that they are good, how have really bad here ... wonderful game always solid Mark Strong, who may or may not be dead. Always makes for an interesting case! Support from Rachel McAdams and Eddie Marsan are fine, but Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are the real stars as Holmes and Watson. Oddly enough, friends have a factor that works well on screen. Physical Dovneis has always set it apart from many contemporary actors ... he moves like a player and fight like a champion. Jude Law is often too pretty boy for me, but very good job capturing the reluctant wizard free skills.This is a great movie! It is designed to be jolly good time with tons of popcorn munching. Younger children will not be able to follow the story, but anyone who has read the story of Holmes (and not against a bit of artistic license) should see the film. It is very entertaining and fun to watch.
